4. Justgiving: Adam Hill

I am a Support Worker in Bedford, working with adults with learning disabilities, and have been employed by the Papworth Trust for just about a year now and already it has been suggested I do something more worthwhile for the charity organisation I continue to like! No it's not bungie jumping or working for free! (sorry I had to say that!) but something rather energetic and something I am quite used to. I was very successful in winning another club entry place for this year's Flora London Marathon after being rejected again and again in the main public ballot draw.
I have therefore decided to run the Marathon and raise some much needed funds to support the pioneering work our organisation wants to deliver. The 2009 London Marathon will be my sixth marathon distance since I took up the sporting activity some five years ago. Each time, I have managed to complete the distance quicker and I hope to reach Buckingham Palace in under 3 hours and 15 minutes.
So, for my hard work and the strong legs I need, it would be great if the fundraising team can collect some sponsorship money from you! Yes you. Papworth is pointing the finger at you so we can respond to the needs of our users that are not statutory funded. This would enable our organisation to develop even more products and services, and may provide us with greater employment opportunities and offer us continued satisfaction in our chosen field of work. Do I hear anyone else wanna run 26.2 miles on the 26th April 2009!
