Most of our work is carried out on site where a problem or difficulty has been identified. This can involve meeting with officials to demonstrate the needs first-hand, thus preventing misinterpretation of letters or phone calls.

The Access Association aims to improve access and facilities for disabled people and consequently for all people who would benefit from an accessible environment.
The Access Association was formed in response to the need to network and support professionals, whose primary responsibility was to promote and facilitate accessible environments and services for all, including people with disabilities.

The wheelygood.org website is an innovative accessibility map for Darlington Town Centre designed by Darlington Association on Disability (DAD) with funding from Darlington Borough Council's Local Transport Plan.
The main aim of the website is to allow both residents and visitors to Darlington Town Centre to find wheelchair and scooter accessible premises.

www.yourlevelbest.com was created by a wheelchair-user who likes to socialize by meeting friends and family in pubs or restaurants--so of course these places must be disabled-accessible. The toilets must be wheelchair-accessible, too. Venues listed here claim to meet these criteria
Although the law has changed and improved the situation for disabled customers, most pubs and restaurants are NOT disabled aware yet. That's why there's a need for a list like this. The FAQ page gives more information.
